Field mapping
Jira Project → Hubnity Project: required.
Jira Issue Key → Hubnity Task: auto-created with issue summary as title.
Jira Assignee → Hubnity Member: matched by email.
Jira Sprint → Hubnity Tag: optional, for sprint-based reporting.
Jira Worklog → Hubnity Time Entry: write-back on sync (configurable per project).
Sync frequency
Issues sync every 15 minutes. New and updated issues appear in the timer task picker after next sync.
Worklog write-back runs within 5 minutes of time entry sync. Format: hours as decimal (e.g., 1.5).
Permissions needed
Jira: site admin or project admin for OAuth authorization. Project-level browse and worklog permissions for synced projects.
Hubnity: Owner or Admin to install. Members use synced issues via timer.
Common errors
HUB-JIR-401: Atlassian OAuth token expired. Reconnect from Settings → Integrations → Jira.
HUB-JIR-403: Insufficient Jira permissions. Verify browse and worklog access on synced projects.
HUB-JIR-404: Jira issue deleted. Time entries remain in Hubnity but lose write-back link.
HUB-JIR-422: Worklog write-back rejected (issue in Done status with locked worklogs). Adjust Jira workflow or disable write-back for that project.
Tracking time on Jira issues
Synced issues appear in the desktop app task picker with the Jira issue key prefix (e.g., PROJ-123).
Browser extension auto-detects Jira issue pages and suggests the matching task.
